They’ve got all sorts of stores from high-end luxury LV Headquarters to retail brands such as H&M and Zara so theres lots of options! There are also tons of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from if you need a break from shopping. Transportation is easy because there are several taxis and bus stops. It was fun to see all the huge stores and the long lines. Just behind is where all the large embassies are. I highly recommend trying to squeeze in a quick walk down whole you’re near the area. If you can, try to get on one of the meridians when the traffic has stopped. It’s probs not the safest idea, but if you can get there you get the most stunning pictures with the Arc du TrimompheWhile this isn’t a place you would want to spend hours on end, I think you would really like including it along side another attraction. We ended up walking through here when we were trying to get to the arc, or the Eiffel Tower. It’s a great place to visit a few shops or grab dinner after a long day of site seeing. A picture-perfect general observations …I can’t get over how well-dressed people are while sitting at the cafés, or shopping, or walking up and down the is evident not only in this section of the city, but all over Paris for that matter. Folks appeared as cut-outs in men’s and women’s fashion magazines. I love that about this was a point in time in the when people would wear their Sunday best just to go shopping, or to the theatre, or while traveling. That is very much the case in Paris. The smell of perfume, both men’s and women’s, was very evident as admire how the trees line the edge of the streets. This is very scenic and does an expert job of shielding the cars from the cafés and shops. The trees also block ideal views of the Arc De Triomphe. You need to venture into the busy street on red light opportunities to snap decent pictures of observed — regardless of size, shape, gender or age — a lot of people boldly and defiantly smoking cigarettes. I have to admit, it’s a little shocking, and requires a little getting used here in Paris, it seems very normal and dare I say … necessary. And, by that statement, I would compare it to watching an episode of Mad Men, which would be inaccurate if devoid of its bourbon and chain strongly recommend walking up and down the Champs Elysees to gain a greater perspective of its beauty. Sin embargo, es muy lindo pasear por esta ancha avenida rodeada de todas las tiendas más caras que tiene la ciudad, que se van intercalando con miles de cafecitos y que desemboca en el Arco del que tiene mucho tráfico y mucho turismo, así que es necesario caminarla toda a menos que uno tenga mucha plata para gastar y ande de compras. Pienso que con caminar un par de cuadras y divisar el arco ya es en esa dirección, con el arco delante y la concordia detrás, si miran a la izquierda en algunas esquinas van a poder ver la torre Eiffel que está muy cerquita de allí, del otro lado del Sena. And by that I mean a huge tourist trap that is great at inducing claustrophobia. That being said, the Champs Elysses is lined with amazing shopping, people watching restaurants and a buzz that truly defines the summer months, it’s extremely crowded. But again, if you’re a tourist, you’ll still enjoy this as its all about the experience. You can’t come to Paris without seeing such a popular strip. I guess I was too busy checking out the local items here and completely missed all the big named stores like LV which I totally wanted to check out. The area, however, is beautifully decorated and full of lights and display pieces and was great to walk around at night. There are tons of food vendors, there’s an outdoor ice skating area that is man-made, and there are a bunch of different vendors selling things like purses, souvenirs, winter accessories, Christmas themed items, picture frames, candles downfall for the Christmas Market though is that the weekends including Friday are jammed! There is barely any room to walk — it’s just a mob! Thankfully, the first time we went was a Thursday and we got a chance to explore and move that said, I would love to come back to this area to shop and would definitely come back during the holiday season as well! This famous stretch of paradise in Paris, France is the one of the hotbeds of commercial fashionistas and fine dining in central Paris. I was suggested to come here via Tripadvisor and 2 of my coworkers whom had recommend coming here to check things out. The Champs Elysses is basically a famous strip of Paris dotted with eateries and shopping boutiques. Yes, definitely a Mecca for the shop till you drop folks and the tourists who want to walk up and down her every moment of every day. The Champs Elysses is French for the Elysian Fields, a paradise for dead Greek heroes in Greek mythology. The Champs Elysses is also known for the final miles of the Tour de France, the epic world cycling event. With that said, it was pretty uneventful when I arrived here on a recent October trip to was disappointed, thinking that the Champs Elysses was something else. Oh well. I took the L’Open sightseeing bus tour one day for sightseeing and it winded through the crazy streets of Paris before coming to a crawl on the Champs Elysses. The length of Champs Elysses was a little more than a mile km. Many restaurants and high end shopping retail establishments dot this famous boulevard, edging out 5th avenue in New York City I think. For the most part, I got out at one of the L’Open sightseeing tour stops and walked majority of the way, keeping the Arc de Triomphe in my sights. I even stopped off in the McDonalds for lunch and wifi! The weather that day in Paris was a comfortable 50’s F 12 C and the windchill was pretty me, the Champs Elysses is a piece of history, a cultural magnet, and a top tourist attraction for those who visit Paris. Yet, I had a positive experience despite the expectation that I thought this place was something else altogether. There were plenty of things to do and add here. The Paris metro route 1 runs underneath the Champs Elysses, but the best bet would be to ride the public bus along the Champs Elysses, or walk it if you have the time. Peut être par sa position assez centrale dans la ville, peut être parce que les touristes veulent rejoindre facilement Concorde en partant de l’Etoile et vice-versa. Dabei ist es fast schon eine Überflutung mit Prachtbauten, Bögen, Obelisken etc. Würde man das Brandenburger Tor auf einen Platz stellen, man würde achtlos daran vorbeigehen, weil etwas ähnliches an jeder Ecke guter Startpunkt ist der Eiffelturm, weil man von da aus viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten schon mal aus der Ferne anschauen und so seinen Tag planen kann. Allerdings sollte man hier Wartezeit einplanen, da der Turm immer gut besucht empfehle auch den Louvre, wobei man sich auch da etwas Zeit nehmen sollte sowohl Wartezeit als auch Zeit zum Anschauen.Ansonsten sollte man die Stadt einfach einmal auf sich wirken lassen. Ich fand es zum Beispiel herrlich, dass es tatsächlich Franzosen gibt, die mit einem Baguett unter dem Arm herumlaufen!
